Installing pyrometer probes or temperature gauge senders where drilling and tapping is not an option calls for a weld-in solution, and AutoMeter part 2260 fills that role. This 1/8 in. NPT female fitting weld boss is welded directly to a bung location, creating a secure threaded port for electric transmission temperature and oil temperature senders as well as pyrometer probes.
