Replacing or upgrading the factory shock absorber, the FOX Performance Series 2.5 HTO shock (part number FOX98762000) from BDS Suspension is a bolt-on suspension shock absorber kit built around position-sensitive technology and vehicle-specific valving. The 2.5-inch body is impact extruded from 6061-T6 aluminum with a type II clear-anodized plating that dissipates heat and resists corrosion. An internal floating piston (IFP) separates shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen to optimize damping, while Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) technology routes shock oil through a secondary shim stack to slow shaft speed and reduce harsh top-outs, a benefit that is especially noticeable after fitting heavier tires or lifting higher than OEM specification. The kit reuses the existing OE spring. Fits the 2021–2026 Ford Bronco.
