Operating for tens of thousands of hours, the Dorman 600-240XD is a brushless DC transfer case oil pump designed to prevent premature failures common to the original equipment brushed motor. Fits the 2005-2015 Nissan Armada; the 2005-2012 Nissan Pathfinder; the 2004-2010 INFINITI QX56; and the 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada. The original brushed motor design fails after just a few thousand hours due to brush burnout, which shuts down the pump and causes driveline noise, transfer case damage, and costly repairs. The brushless motor design eliminates this failure mode while maintaining the same electrical connectors, allowing direct replacement of the original equipment pump. Tested for vibration, salt spray, dust and water resistance, thermal cycling, and electrical and mechanical reliability, the pump is backed by a limited warranty.
