Featuring integrated CV joints and serviceable universal joints, the Dorman 936-387 replaces original driveshafts with permanently staked connections that are difficult to service in the field. Fits the 1971-1974 BMW 3.0CS. This steel driveshaft measures 56.5 inches in overall length with a 2.5-inch shaft diameter and 0.065-inch wall thickness for balanced power transmission through the drivetrain and suspension. Both ends incorporate bolt-on connections for secure mounting, and the assembly arrives fully assembled and factory pre-balanced, ready for direct installation without additional setup. The overall length is not adjustable, and this is a complete replacement assembly.
