A driveshaft assembly, the Dorman 946-179 is manufactured from seamless steel tubing using the drawn over mandrel (DOM) process for controlled wall thickness and straightness. Fits the 1994-1996 Chevrolet Caprice and Impala. The shaft measures 3 inches in diameter with 0.083-inch wall thickness and totals 59.96 inches in length, designed to transfer rotational power from the transmission to the rear axle. This Standard Replacement grade assembly is built with 100 percent new components, including a slip yoke on one end and a universal joint on the other, and features an adjustable length. CV joints and axle nuts are not included.
