The Dorman 946-261 is a steel driveshaft with serviceable universal joints that can be replaced in the field, whereas original factory staked designs require complete shaft replacement when joints fail. Measuring 44.37 inches in overall length with a 2.5-inch shaft diameter and 0.083-inch wall thickness, the assembly includes CV joints and features a slip yoke connection on the transmission end with a bolt-on flange mount on the rear axle.
