At 40.75 inches in compressed length, the Dorman 986-176 is a compact steel driveshaft with a 3-inch shaft diameter and 0.083-inch wall thickness for strength and power transmission. Fits the 2006-2014 Nissan Xterra X; the 2005-2014 Nissan Xterra S; the 2011-2012 Nissan Xterra SV; and the 2005-2010 Nissan Xterra SE with the 4.0L V6. The assembly features a slip yoke at the transmission end and a bolt-on flange at the rear axle end, creating a fixed connection with no length adjustment. CV joints and an axle nut are not included with this replacement unit.
