Treating exhaust emissions before they reach the main converter, the Eastern Catalytic 40389 is an EPA-compliant pre-catalytic converter designed for direct-fit installation on compatible vehicles. Fits the 1996-2001 Nissan Altima with the 2.4L L4. The ECO II catalyst composition manages pre-exhaust emissions and mounts via a 6-bolt welded inlet connection and a 3-bolt welded outlet connection that includes an outlet gasket for proper sealing. This configuration requires no inlet gasket and no outlet hardware, which simplifies mounting to the vehicle's exhaust system.
