Featuring zero O2 sensor ports and an ECO II catalyst substrate, the Eastern Catalytic 40445 is a federal EPA direct-fit pre-catalyst converter for emissions treatment systems. Fits the 1996-2004 Nissan Pathfinder, and the 1997-2003 INFINITI QX4 with the 3.3L V6 and 3.5L V6. This unit accepts a 6 bolt welded inlet connection with gasket and supplied hardware, and connects to a 3 bolt welded outlet with gasket and hardware. Manufactured in the United States and carrying a 60-month warranty covering emissions and structural performance, this converter operates without oxygen sensor input for specific applications. The pre-catalyst design positions this unit closer to the engine compared to undercar converters, treating hot exhaust gases upstream in the emissions control system.
