For those needing a higher capacity tow strap, Factor 55’s new 4” x 30’ Tow Strap offers an increased working load limit of 11,000 lbs. Our tow straps are made from low stretch polyester for little to-no stretch. This polyester is specifically chosen for its increased safety, abrasion resistance and UV stability compared to other lower cost materials like Nylon. Our straps are all Made in the USA so you can be sure you are getting a reliable and safe product that is built to last. Each Tow Strap is serialized for material lot traceability and properly labeled to show working load limits for various rigging configurations.

Note: To reach a higher minimum breaking strength of 55,000 pounds (USA Tested and repeatable), we doubled the ply and stitched it the entire length and wrapped the reinforced eyes with a durable Cordura sleeve. Because of its low stretch quality, these straps can also be used as a 30 foot winch extension. Tow straps should not be confused with "Dynamic" recovery straps like "Snatch" straps or Kinetic Recovery Ropes. Dynamic straps are designed to store large amounts of kinetic energy in the stretch of the rope, tow straps on the other hand do not store this quantity of energy. A properly designed tow rope should be made of a low stretch 100% polyester and allow for little to no stretch and allow vehicles to be towed for greater distances than Dynamic Nylon straps. Because towing a vehicle often results in the tow strap making contact to the ground, the abraded low energy storage tow strap will not recoil as severely if a strap failure occurs.
