The Ford Performance 302 short block lets you build it your way by adding your choice of heads, cam, intake, and oil system. All forged internals make the Ford Performance 302 short block an excellent value and a solid foundation for any 302 build. Ford Performance short blocks feature race quality components at competitive pricing.302 Cubic Inches. Bore x stroke (inches):4.000 bore x 3.000 stroke.9.0:1 compression ratio (nominal) with 64cc combustion chamber cylinder heads. Forged pistons. Forged steel connecting rods. BOSS 4-bolt main block M-6010-BOSS302 8.2 deck height - cast and machined in the USA. Forged steel crankshaft. Neutral balanced rotating assembly - requires 'zero' balance flywheel or flex plate. Most aftermarket performance cylinder heads are compatible with this short block. Ford Performance short blocks are built with pistons designed for 20 degree valve angle heads and will fit stock or most spread valve guide centerlines. Designed for M-6049-X306//X307/Z304DA/Z304P and N351 cylinder heads. Not designed for production 302/351W or M-6049-Y302/Y303/X302/X303/X304/X305 cylinder heads Works well with Ford Performance cylinder heads M-6049-Z2 and M-6049-X2.Can be used in kit cars, street rods, Mustangs, Fox-bodied cars, and trucks.
