FOX Shocks 980-24-957 Suspension Shock Absorber

Rear suspension damping for lifted trucks is the job handled by FOX Shocks part 980-24-957, a Performance Series 2.0 smooth-body shock absorber with a remote reservoir, tuned for 7 to 10 inch lift applications. Fits 17 Chevrolet, GMC and Hummer vehicles from 1999 to 2019, including the 2001-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and the 2007-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 3500 HD. Full vehicle list below. Travel measures 14.12 in, the extended length is 34.02 in, and the compressed length is 19.90 in. The 14.1 in aluminum body dissipates heat faster than steel, and the external reservoir system works alongside a race-developed internal floating piston to separate gas and oil for consistent, fade-resistant performance. Application-specific valving and black anodized CNC machined aluminum components complete the build, and all FOX shocks are fully serviceable and corrosion-resistant.
