Providing damping control and suspension travel, the FOX Factory Race 981-25-002 extends to 32.45 inches with 12 inches of travel and features a smooth steel body design. Built with a 2.5-inch diameter body and remote external reservoir, this shock absorber includes FOX Grey Cerakote protective ceramic coating applied over zinc-plated basecoat and a 7/8-inch hard chrome plated stainless steel shaft with redundant seals. The Factory Race Series design employs a race-developed shock piston with dual-speed compression adjustment, filled with JM92 MIL-SPEC oil developed for off-road racing. Both top and bottom mounts feature eyelet connections with 1/2 x 1-1/2 inch mounting specifications. The shock is owner-serviceable and rebuildable with custom valving options available.
