FOX part number 981-30-404-R is an external bypass shock with a steel body finished in FOX Grey Cerakote protective ceramic coating over a zinc-plated basecoat. The shaft is 17-4 H900 hard chrome plated stainless steel measuring 7/8 inch, and the body diameter is 3 inches. This shock is owner serviceable and rebuildable, uses JM92 MIL-SPEC oil developed for off-road racing, and features black anodized CNC machined aluminum components throughout.
