This shock absorber provides race-proven damping control and application-specific valving to deliver a comfortable on-road ride and predictable off-road handling. Fits the 2016-2026 Toyota Hilux. The FOX Performance Series unit, part number 987-02-009, uses a 2.5-inch extruded aluminum body with high-flow velocity-sensitive damping and an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate gas and oil for consistent performance.
The shock features a 5/8-inch hard chrome shaft, Type II clear-anodized body plating, and OEM-style top mount with eyelet bottom mount. It is fully rebuildable and re-tunable, and designed to support up to 3 inches (75mm) of lift in applicable installations. Built from aluminum that dissipates heat four times better than conventional materials, the shock is corrosion resistant and torture-tested for durability.
