This rear shock absorber for truck suspension uses FOX Performance Series engineering, part number 987-24-011, to combine on-road comfort with off-road handling. Fits the 2011-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and Silverado 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 and Sierra 3500 HD. The unit features a 2.5-inch diameter aluminum body impact extruded from 6061-T6 alloy, with Type II clear-anodized plating and a 5/8-inch hard chrome shaft. Application-specific valving and a hydraulic top-out piston support predictable performance while an internal floating piston (IFP) separates gas and oil for consistent damping and heat dissipation.
