A performance shock absorber, part 987-24-037 by FOX, featuring application-specific valving tuned for consistent damping control. The shock uses high-flow velocity-sensitive damping and a hydraulic top out piston to manage compression and rebound across varied terrain. Its aluminum body is built with an internal floating piston to separate gas and oil, and is fully rebuildable and re-tunable.

The shock body is constructed from 2.5 inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum with Type II clear-anodized plating for corrosion resistance. The 5/8 inch hard chrome shaft works with the internal floating piston reservoir to maintain consistent pressure and fade-resistant performance. Top and bottom mounts are both EB2 style eyelet ends.
