Manages suspension dampening and vehicle performance across on-road and off-road driving conditions, the FOX Shocks model 987-24-039 is a Performance Series shock absorber designed for trucks and SUVs. Constructed from impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum with a 2.5-inch body diameter and clear-anodized Type II finish, this shock incorporates a 5/8-inch hard chrome shaft and internal floating piston design to separate gas and oil within the reservoir. High-flow velocity-sensitive damping combined with a Hydraulic Top Out piston enables responsive vehicle handling and extended suspension travel, while the fully rebuildable construction allows for future service and custom tuning to match specific performance needs.
