A performance shock absorber from FOX Shocks, model 987-24-040, featuring a 2.5 inch extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body with race-proven damping control for on-road comfort and off-road handling. The shock uses high-flow velocity-sensitive damping with an internal floating piston and hydraulic top-out piston to manage extreme conditions. The body is Type II clear-anodized and corrosion resistant, with a 5/8 inch hard chrome shaft. The shock is fully rebuildable and re-tunable, and comes with application-specific valving.
