Delivering race-proven damping control for comfortable on-road rides and predictable off-road handling, this FOX Performance Series suspension shock absorber carries part number 987-24-043. The 2.5" smooth-body shock is built from impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type II clear-anodized finish and a 5/8" hard chrome shaft, making it fully rebuildable, re-tunable, and corrosion resistant. An internal floating piston (IFP) separates gas and oil, while a Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) piston and application-specific valving deliver high-flow velocity-sensitive damping.
