The Crankshaft Position Sensor plays a vital role in your engine's operation; to determine the exact position of then engine's crankshaft to the ECM. The ECM then uses this information to determine fuel and spark timing or engine misfire detection. A failed sensor can result in a check engine light, failure to start, intermittent stalling, or misfire.
