This standard open differential carrier case is cast and machined to precise specifications for strength and tight tolerances in demanding applications. Fits 78 Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and 2 other makes vehicles from 1970 to 2003, including the 1996–2003 Chevrolet Express 1500 and GMC Savana 1500 and the 1999–2000 Cadillac Escalade. Full vehicle list below. The Yukon Gear YC G26010481 is a non-locking carrier designed for 8.5" axles with 2.73 ratio and higher. It is supplied with side gears but does not include spider gears.
The case accommodates either 28 or 30 spline axle shafts and is secured with 10 cover bolts. Constructed from steel, this carrier delivers reliable performance and a long service life.
