The Bilstein 53-332837 B12 (Special) is a front coil spring suspension kit comprised of a pair of black-finished linear coil springs with a 700-pound-per-inch front main spring rate, paired with bump stop extension washers that serve protective functions during suspension cycling and extreme compression events. These springs create the fundamental suspension geometry, supporting vehicle weight and controlling both ride height and suspension travel range, while the washers prevent metal-to-metal bottoming contact between suspension and vehicle structure.
